Default 419Legal Volunteers

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer on 419legal by offering your free time in serving the public around the world in fighting Nigerian 419 advance fee fraud? We currently have positions open for volunteers in the following sections of 419Legal:

Methods of assisting 419legal.org

1. Make Posts- Post copies of emails that you receive to our Scam Letter Archives. These posts are most effective if certain easy posting guidelines are followed. These are indexed by the major search engines so when others search for information regarding the email they often find the post at 419legal and do not fall for the scam.

2. Bookmark- your posts or threads that you find helpful (See how to do this). This helps your posts get picked up by the search engine and makes it easier for others to find.

3. Communicate and Advise- Answer other visitors questions if you feel you have some experience in the matter. Usually if it feels like a scam it probably is. Also the motto "better safe than sorry" would apply here.

4. Moderators- We are always in search of moderators to help us edit and git rid of spam on our forum. Become an active member on the board before asking to become a moderator. Please send us a pm if you are interested (These are reviewed weekly)

5. Help us to promote the 419legal forum by sharing information about us in other forums or by posting a banner on your website, blog, myspace or facebook page (See Examples).

Default I'd be interested

I would be interested in helping with any part of your organization where you might need it.

I have extensive 'net experience as well as law-enforcement experience earlier in my career.

This particular crime is particularly loathesome as those who are victimized are generally more greedy that careful, and therefore unwilling to report their victimization.

Default I would love to help

I've been posting any scam letters I have been getting, so I've pretty much have been already volunteering in that way. If you need help with anything else, like victim support, etc., just let me know. I love helping others and I also had went to school to be a paralegal. So I have a little law backround.

Hi Uncle Fred, If you want to help out its best to get started by being an active and useful member of the forum. Once established you may be appointed moderator status so that you can help edit posts.

I'd be interested in helping out however I can as well. I have been a long time lurker on NANAE and know quite a bit about 419 scams, various other types of spam, how to track it back etc. etc.
